Thanks to the special composition of the beans and a coarser grind, this variety is perfectly suited to the preparation of a "caffè lungo" or "café crème" (Swiss/German), i.e. a large cup of coffee / a long coffee. This type of preparation allows much more water to be pumped into the bag than for an espresso.
The result is a milder, less intense coffee than a concentrated, lighter espresso.
These E.S.E. pods are not suitable for Senseo and Lavazza systems!
