Alunni Caffè Ricetta Luigina - can
250g whole espresso beans in a tin
With this espresso, Alessia Alunni honors her mother, Luigina. Out of gratitude, she chooses Luigina as the namesake for this very special blend.
Luigina has the power to bring the whole world to your cup. The eight carefully selected varieties in this coffee originate from Brazil, Kenya, Nepal, Peru, Puerto Rico, and Santo Domingo. The Robusta beans come from India (India Kaapi Royale) and Cuba. The aromatic Kaapi Royale beans are cultivated in the mountains of Baba Budan in western India. There, the nutrient-rich soil and high altitude ensure top-quality green coffee. In the cup, these beans transform into a highly aromatic, dark-brown espresso with a rich crema.
Ricetta Luigina is a true Italian bar espresso. With it, some people will discover their new favorite coffee.
The full-bodied Luigina blends perfectly with milk. It then gently caresses the palate, despite its impressive flavor profile. The finish is indescribably long and intense, revealing aromas of roasted nuts, baked goods, and toast. These are joined by fresh, bright notes of stone fruit and flowers. This Alunni blend is distinguished by its barely perceptible acidity, which has been reduced to a minimum through gentle, long-term roasting.
The "Best Tasting Espresso" award at the International Espresso Championships speaks for itself. This high acclaim is based on the olfactory evaluations of the judges from the IIAC (International Institute of Coffee Tasters), which has more than 12,000 experts in over 40 countries.
Many renowned judges taste countless coffees in stages and ultimately choose only one as the winner. Gold medal in the category Espresso Blend This makes it the best of nearly 300 selected coffees from around the world. The Ricetta Luigina from Caffè Alunni has won this award three times: in 2019 at the Japanese edition of the competition, and in 2020 and 2021 at the Italian edition.
