Nannini Coffees: A Symbol of the City of Siena!
The desire to preserve the traditional legacy of Nannini products found its natural heir in Alessandro.
Throughout his life, Alessandro Nannini has cherished two passions that have shaped him: the thrill of driving fast cars and the joy of savoring a good coffee. His grandfather, Guido Nannini, the founder of Caffè A. Nannini, was already a devoted fan of motorcycle racing and participated in important sporting events in the name of the city of Siena.
In 1943, unable to find high-quality coffee for his establishments in Siena, he decided to roast his own coffee. He also began offering traditional pastries in his shops.
Business thrived, and within half a century, the Nannini name became one of Siena’s most renowned, thanks to the distribution network for his coffee and pastries.
Racing, Coffee, Pastry, and Entrepreneurship
Alessandro Nannini never backs down from a challenge. Born in Siena on July 7, 1959, he grew up in a prominent Sienese family. He aimed to fulfill his dream of becoming a professional Formula 1 driver. In 1986, he made his debut behind the wheel of a Minardi in the Brazilian Grand Prix.
While racing around the world, Alessandro Nannini cultivated and promoted the art and heritage of his family businesses. He took charge of the roasting plant, modernized the pastry shop, opened the first Alessandro Nannini café in Florence, and refreshed the look of Siena’s traditional coffeehouses.
This created the foundation for one of his goals: to open cafés through a franchise model that reflects his expertise and carries his name's global prestige. Today, Alessandro Nannini is an active entrepreneur who takes part in managing his businesses.
